Kirsters Baish| President Trump has been working for almost a year on ending the abuse of the American welfare system. He has been making big strides in preventing illegal immigrants from receiving free money and handouts. The new immigration rules will stop illegal migrants from coming into the United States and taking advantage of our welfare system. These big steps will slow or or stop chain migration and at the same time, protect American workers and save taxpayers money.
Welfare abuse has all but taken over our country. Migrants have traveled to the United States in order to live off of the free government money for years. Under former President Barack Obama, this may have been allowed, but President Trump is ready to end welfare abuse in America. This is not to say that we don’t want any immigrants coming into our country, but they must be able to work for a living and fend for themselves. That is what America is all about.
President Trump is hoping to introduce a merit-based Green card system. Under this new system, immigrants will be able to compete for Visas. They are able to earn points by learning to speak English, by getting job training or receiving job offers, or doing other things that are considered a benefit to our country. It’s time for people to stop feeding off the system without giving anything back.
Migrants to those countries must compete for a limited number of visas by gaining points for English proficiency, competitive training, a job offer or another major achievement that benefits the host country.
