Kirsters Baish| Millennial pop music diva Lorde has been making headlines since canceling her concerts in Israel because she claims that she was too afraid of the threats by Palestinian terrorists. It seems as though a veteran of the music industry has made Lorde look like a total idiot. The Beatles’ Ringo Starr has made it clear that he will not be canceling any dates on his tour, even those in Israel.
Lorde, whose real name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor, got on the bad side of a lot of Americans when she came out publicly to announce that she would be bowing to the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement that made demands that she cancel her concert dates in Israel.
Those involved with the BDS have claimed that Israel is an outlaw state which should be destroyed. They support terrorists such as the Palestinians who have stated that they would be proud to do as the Nazis did and commit genocide against the Jewish people. These are the kind of people that Lorde has decided to follow. These are the sick people that she has sided with.
The pop singer caved into the pressure after so-called Palestinian supporting BDS activists in New Zealand wrote an open letter which demanded that she cancel any concerts in Israel.
The message from the activists to Lorde read, “In this context, a performance in Israel sends the wrong message. Playing in Tel Aviv will be seen as giving support to the policies of the Israeli government, even if you make no comment on the political situation. Such an effect cannot be undone by even the best intention and the best music.”
The singer proved that she was a very weak individual when she caved into the demands. She released a public statement which read, “I’ve received an overwhelming number of messages and letters and have had a lot of discussions with people holding many views, and I think the right decision at this time is to cancel the show.” Lorde went on to claim that she was “truly sorry to reverse my commitment to come play for you. I hope one day we can all dance.”
Long time American comedienne Roseanne Barr had something to say to the young singer for her bigoted and idiotic decision.
Barr took to Twitter to slam the pop singer and state, “Boycott this bigot: Lorde caves to BDS pressure, cancels Israel concert.”
Although 21-year-old Lorde canceled her concerts in Israel and seems to be mixed up about what is right and wrong, one veteran rocker made it clear that he would not be giving into such ridiculousness. Ringo Starr explained that he would continue with his scheduled concerts, even those in Israel.
Breitbart News reported:
Ringo has chosen a band that includes fellow rock legends Steve Lukather of Toto, Greg Rollie of Journey and Graham Gouldman of 10cc as the All-Starrs. The two shows are booked for Tel Aviv’s Menorah Mivtahim Arena on June 23 and 24.
The visit comes 52 years after The Beatles were originally scheduled to perform in Israel in 1966 – but were turned away by the government of the day who deemed them to be a “bad influence” on Israeli youth.
It seems as though millennial pop artists are nothing like the veteran rockers from back in the day. Lorde proved herself to be nothing more than a spineless jellyfish while Ringo Starr made it clear that he would not be giving into the hatred and bigotry.
